Amber, Slowly

Amber is not a material but a tempo — labdanum and vanilla agreeing, for once, to move at the speed of candlelight. Jorum Studio understands this better than most: their resins breathe in half-time.

Every house owns an amber; few can wait for one. Taller de Niebla’s draft needed nothing but six more weeks of maceration, and saying so was the whole review.

The lesson of amber is the lesson of the atelier: slowness is not a delay. It is an ingredient.
